More than 28 years of experience as a senior distribution & logistics operations leadership executive with an impressive record of service and cost performance improvement in a wide range of environments. My background includes the highly successful leadership of large, multiple, distribution center networks (up to 20 locations and >1,100 employees), and complex, company-wide transportation operations (5 different companies; all modes, including significant private fleets; domestic and international; annual spends of up to $185 million). While physical logistics operations are my expertise, my business experience and acumen in I.T., Purchasing, Customer Service, Finance, and Human Resources are all very strong as well. I have implemented new automation and technology, worked closely with sales teams on major launches/introductions and on business development and retention initiatives, and done extensive work in developing teams (management teams as well as teams to support continuous improvement and best practices initiatives). I am highly analytical and Performance Management driven in style and approach, while also being a strong strategic planner and a highly successful, seasoned negotiator. My background includes retail, wholesale, hard goods, soft goods, and publishing/media, all in which I have had broad and sustained success, reflecting not only my compelling value proposition, but my adaptability.
