I am persistent and ambitious in what I do. One of my key achievements has been the personal project on writing a book about S60 based phone programs that was published by the Wiley& sons Ltd. in Jan 2007. It explains in detail the architecture of the S60 as well as gives tips for how to utilize the platform in device programs in a meaningful way. This book has received lots of very positive feedback from the Nokia’s developer community and S60 platform Licensees.

I have +12 yearsinternational experience; 10 years of managerial experience in multi-cultural environment. I have successfully led global and virtual teams in my work. Change has always played a key role in my work and I have learnt how to handle the change resistance in a successful manner. Company’s strategy creation experience I have gained both at Nokia and my current employer CCC, where I have been leading the new Telecom Strategy team with extensive results.

I am a true team player whilst take personal ownership over the most challenging tasks. I feel I’ve had a box seat position over the entire telecommunication industry during the past +12 years. Leading an organization in eight different sites around the world (Finland, USA, Brasil, China, Japan, Singapore and India). The organization provided technical services, consultancy and support plus did developer outreach and technology marketing activities with global presence. I created the API Partnering process and led the Nokia wide mobile content switching strategy work (called SWITCH). Leading the project of VoIP adaptation development on top of Nokia devices.

Senior Consultancy Manager / Forum Nokia, Helsinki 2005-2006

I was in charge of the global consultancy function and organization which served the 3.2 M application developers around the world innovating on top of Nokia platforms. I Ramped up this new service and created the strategy for it as the very first tasks. In my daily work I negotiated with the customers, collected the optimal service portfolio for them and resourced their projects with professional consultants. My team created global sub-contractor and consultancy service provider networks that the developer community can utilize in their project work. With these partners we successfully concluded agreements on the SLAs and other important QoS topics.

As Technology Consultancy Manager I managed a multi-national group of highly professional people, who constantly provided help to S60 Licensees’ projects. The team helped the development of 11 new S60 devices. In this work I co-operated not only with the customers and platform organization but to wide extent with Nokia’s Marketing and Sales team as well as with the Legal. Iparticipated in S60 level strategy work and gained a good understanding on what are the biggest obstacles for the Licensees to build their phones on top of S60. I also had a perfect view on the overall smart phone development cycle. In this position I had the opportunity to improve my know-how on the Symbian OS and other smart phone technologies. Working side by side with the external Licensees and customers deepened my understanding on ways to exceed customer expectations.
