About me

I work in information technology as a Unix Sysadmin.

I am fond of computers, science fiction, tech gadgets and everything about science.

I strongly believe in knowledge and expertise sharing.

Work experience

Dec 1999Present

Senior System Administrator

EDS, an HP Company

I am part of the local Unix Team, we manage enterprise Unix servers in high availability environments, 24x7.

I spend my favourite time at work aiding the birth of HP-UX, Solaris and AIX servers and nurturing them until they are ready for production.

A lot of time is dedicated to documentation so that anyone in my team may pick up the managing of the new servers soon.

Lately I found a refreshing diversion in tutoring sysadmin apprentices that joined us.

Since June, 2009, I have acted as a team leader of the Unix Team.
