The Running Forum

The Running Forum (located at is an online community dedicated to runners of all ages, abilities, and distances. We are the cyber-home to all kinds of runners, from the casual jogger to the elite marathoner. Partial responsibilities:

  • Web design including both graphics and coding with particular focus on UI, UX, and accessibility.
  • Perform marketing duties such as Social Media Marketing via Facebook and Twitter, as well as Search Engine Optimization.
  • Forum-related duties such as content creation, post moderation, user management, etc.
  • Oversee and manage a team of staff members including lead moderators, moderators, promoters, and other team members.
  • Ensure the longevity and integrity of the community. Protect all assets against copyright infringement, DDoS attacks, etc.

Teaching Assistant (Semesterly)

Teaching Assistant and Peer Educator for the Department of Informatics at the University at Albany during my Sophomore year. Assisted Professor Daniel Zhang with INF 201: Introduction to Web Technologies, a 200-level Informatics course focusing on web development, standards, and technologies.

  • Taught multiple course lessons unaccompanied during the professor's periodic expected absences.
  • Graded all labs and non-exam assignments throughout the course of the semester.
  • Acted as an in-class resource for students: answering questions, debugging code, etc.
  • Held regular office hours to assist course enrollees within the Department of Informatics.
  • Provided insight and guidance on a peer-to-peer level regarding the Informatics major and future careers.
