Ryan Kavanaugh, the CEO of Relativity Media, was named Hollywood Producer of the Year at the 13th Annual Hollywood Awards Gala and a Billion Dollar Producer by Daily Variety Magazine. Kavanaugh is known as a film finance expert and has produced and executive produced over 50 films during his career. Honored as Variety’s “Showman of the Year” at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, Ryan Kavanaugh played a pivotal role in Relativity’s early successes, which have allowed the company to expand into a full-fledged production studio with eight to 12 feature films each year. Kavanaugh’s production credits include such Hollywood hits as Neil Burger’s Limitless, starring Bradley Cooper and Robert DeNiro; David O. Russell’s The Fighter, featuring Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg; and Aaron Sorkin’s The Social Network, winner of three Academy Awards. Ryan Kavanaugh also served as a producer on Relativity’s recently released feature film Mirror Mirror, a retelling of the Brothers Grimm fairytale Snow White that stars Academy Award-winner Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen. Safe Haven, a forthcoming film produced by Kavanaugh and Relativity, is based on a novel by bestselling author Nicholas Sparks and is currently in pre-production with an estimated release date in 2013. Relativity’s upcoming release titles include 21 and Over and House at the End of the Street.In addition to full-length feature films, Relativity produces television programming under the name RelativityREAL. With over 60 projects currently in production, RelativityREAL has 17 original series, including The Great Food Truck Race (Food Network), Coming Home (Lifetime), and Police Women (TLC). To complement its television and major motion picture businesses, Relativity also owns and runs RogueLife, a digital content studio that offers a variety of music services for films distributed by leading Hollywood studios, including Relativity.
