In 2004 I left a run at GE to take on a challenging turnaround leadership opportunity as SVP of Marketing & Operations (including Product Development/Supply Chain/Quality) at Katun Corporation, a $300M, private-equity funded, global player in imaging equipment and services based in Minneapolis. It has been an excellent and productive time. Under my leadership, we have increase the sales of new products by a solid 60% (16% CAGR), achieving significantly revitalized alignment of products to market demands. In the process, I have turned an organization that had lost its edge into an efficient and effective development and supply chain team. This team is now highly focused on customer needs, agility and improved asset utilization resulting in increasingly profitable product revenues. It has been all about growth. Some key highlights to share with you: - Architected and led three corporate-wide growth initiatives (two achieving 50% YoY growth). - Accelerated new product development by introduction of intellectual property, technology and top-grade talent. - Certified MBB, accelerating process improvement via introduction of Six Sigma - Achieved significant operational and asset utlization improvements to enhance EBITDA performance. - Delivered $4.6M in product cost reductions and $10M inventory reduction (15%) along with $1.1M reduction in organization costs (10%). Professionally, I am searching for a leadership role (VP/SVP/COO/CEO - depending on company size) in growing a company and believe that my portfolio of skills & motivation could add terrific value at companies trying to return or accelerate growth.
