Lead and manage Spark! as a successful organisation with a clear vision and strategy to achieve its objectives, in order to secure the long term future of the charity. Focusing on;

  • Developing a 5 year strategy that where possible maintains current and also secures new funding opportunities and streams, to sustain the Charity. My expertise lies in assessing opportunities, embracing ideas to innovate and developing partnerships to create greater impact. 
  • Driving engagement from schools  to encourage best practice in careers education 
  • Building  stakeholder partnerships to deliver mutual benefits and reach ambitious targets. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert, keeping up to date on the latest changes in the Education landscape and understand how it impacts our work.
  • Ensuring full compliance with agreed financial standards and the requirements of external funding bodies / contracts
  • Proactively develop and lead implementation of risk management strategies across all service delivery.

 Manage communication with the Board of trustees  by creating reports,  leading quarterly meetings with trustees and other subcommittee members.

Commissioning, brokering and delivering up to 50 +events for school partners each year, this includes leading the process with schools, colleagues and business partners  to plan annual  programmes. Recruitment of new industry partners is vital to our work and I have successfully built a powerful network of contacts in schools and businesses. I am drawn to the development  of new activities and ensure established activities remain relevant to the National Curriculum. International Leadership Programme

The International Leadership Programme (ILP) is an innovative leadership development opportunity which aims to develop leadership skills,  critical thinking about global issues and motivation to becoming more involved in local communities. The programme  brings together 80 international young leaders aged 25-35 to participate in a two week residential training conference, featuring world-renowned leadership trainers and speakers, designed to enhance their skills as potential leaders of the future. The Summit includes leadership skills workshops, inspirational sessions on global issues such as poverty and sustainability, and visits to projects in the local area which demonstrate leadership in action.

With over 10 years of experience in education - business partnerships, I have the ability to lead organisational visioning and the development of business  sustainability & operational efficiency. I am a dynamic, forward thinking business professional,  with a proven ability to drive teams to succeed, adding value and contributing in terms of revenue growth and cost reduction, whilst ensuring the demands of the customer are at the forefront. I have distinct skills in the operational activities and the ability to "re-engineer" new ideas.

Financial Management

 Ability to compile and analyse  financial data ( forecasting and budgeting)  Experienced in managing a limited budget and being resourceful. Responsibilites have included preparing reports and evaluating financial performance data, also  providing input and recommendations to contribute towards decision making processes. I have led team projects to establish a funding strategy for school services, designed to meet  operating costs and payments required.
