I have taken several courses in continued studies for adults at SMU. I am on the last course of a novel fast track program, which focuses on completing individual projects.

1984 - 1988

Bachelor of Science

While completing my undergraduate degree at UNT, I did my college internships at The Dallas Morning News and Allday & Associates (Dallas advertising agency). My minor was in marketing with an emphasis in advertising.

Party & Event Planning

Whether it is planning a small meeting or a large charity event, I am the "Go To Girl." I have over 10 years of experience in handling every little detail, making events memorable and successful.

Writing is my game. I have extensive experience in writing in many different formats. I write well and fast, with little need for editing. I verify facts and figures, making articles and other written material, accurate and timely.

Digital Photography

I take good digital photos, plus I have a keen eye for selecting the best photo. For years, clients relied on me to supervise and art direct photo shoots and select photos for use in marketing and advertising.

Computer Skills

I am proficient in Microsoft Word and Internet Research and use. I am somewhat familiar with other programs such as Illustrator and Photoshop. I work mainly on Macintosh, however, I feel comfortable in getting on a PC.

I am talented in many areas of communication, however, my passion is writing. With over twenty years of experience in advertising, public relations and communication, my main strength is the ability to work under pressure and make tough deadlines. I have written articles for clients in trade publications, small newspaper articles, a restaurant column, public service announcements, press releases, advertising copy, small film scripts and more. For several years, I ran a full-service advertising agency. I was also a communications director for a multi-million dollar company and worked independently as a marketing consultant and a PR director for a photo software company. I am happy and energetic.I am detail oriented and put 110% into every task. I work well with others or alone, depending on the project. I follow directions well, but require little supervision. Just give me an assignment and watch me go! I deliver. Many of my jobs overlap, as you can see by my resume; I multi-task well. So don't be alarmed . . . I am a talented juggler. For samples of my work, please request to see my portfolio.

Family, church, running (at the moment)

I love to write. My objective is to find a company that I can write for on a daily basis. I have not worked in the past two years because of family obligations, so I am eager and excited to get back to work.
