Company sold Men’s Dress, Business and casual clothing via the Internet, 216 Stores across U.S. - $180m annually.

Part of a dynamic executive team that lead the 2008 turnaround of a distressed clothier.  Updated processes, systems and trained personnel on the art of change management.  Managed processes while converting new product line and re-emphasized categories.  Refurbished the allocation and planning systems.  Team accomplished the reduction of long-term debt obligations to zero in 6 months and secured vendor collaboration.  External finance scarcity and 2009 retail turmoil forced liquidation.

  • Supervised 3 exemplary executives, including loss prevention, 19 salaried and 52 hourly associates. 
  • Established markdown rationalization at item level with GMROI improvement concentration.
  • Trimmed transportation expenses by 32% with implementation of “Looking Glass” process.

Strategically initiated a symbiotic relationship between merchandise, finance and distribution channels for (718) store $2 billion dollar general merchandise dollar store retailer with pharmacies. Governed vice president, dedicated business systems analyst, 5 planners, 12 allocation analyst, 15 rebuyers, 8 person 3PL staff and $6.8 billion dollar merchandise flow annually.

  • Implemented new NSB Allocation system and merchandise planning process simultaneously.
  • Initial year results showed an ($8.4) million-dollar comparable reduction in inventory at cost.

  • Implemented SCORE forecasting - replenishment system, NSB allocation system and team structure.
  • Maintained weekly average sales and margin forecast accuracy of (97.4) % on a rolling (13) week period.
