I am a technically savvy, business-oriented and forward-thinking professional with a career that reflects both strong leadership qualifications and hands-on IT expertise. That, coupled with my experience in working with new computing architectures and multi-based platforms, as well as my managerial background makes me very well versed in IT. • Senior lead for Infrastructure team of eight employees. Team consist of: Oracle and MS-SQL DBA’s; Senior Systems Administrator; Junior Systems Administrator; and Broadcast Engineers.
• Responsibilities include: supervising and mentoring other engineers in team; provide advanced level support for all corporate and customer facing systems.
• Support and maintenance of all VMware Clusters across Latin American region.
• Support and maintain all data centers operational 24/7/365, currently utilize 7 data centers spread across South Florida and Latin America.
• Support and maintain over 1,000 servers and over 12 petabytes of content (combined virtual and bare metal servers).
• Support and maintain all HBOGO and Cinemax GO related systems this includes initial deployment; updating of version builds.


• Deployment of HBOGO platform for Mexico, Colombia and Brazil (consisted of two four node SQL2014 clusters and 66 IIS server farm with auto-failover and availability group replication across two data centers)
• Deploy HBOGO build versions to all nodes simultaneously with little to no downtime.
• Upgrade VMware Clusters from v. 5.x to v6.x

  •  Managed a team of six employees with 2 direct reports located in Miami and Buenos Aires which included: an IT Manager; Senior Infrastructure Engineer; Senior Technician; an Oracle Analyst an Oracle DBA and a Systems Administrator, while working from the headquarters located in Miami
  • Responsible for monitoring the infrastructure and supporting the staff (back-office IT) as well as all project roll-outs--we did everything in-house
  • Managing the OPEX and CAPEX budgets
  • Negotiated and approved all vendor agreements for the Latam region
  • Environment consists of: 4 SANs, and two VMware clusters with over 100 virtual machines located in three different data centers
  • All servers with the exception of two backup systems and a file server run on two VMware HA-Clusters in two datacenters. This includes: Active Directory, Exchange 2003 & 2010, Red Hat Linux, Debian Linux, CentOS Linux, Marcos, Windows RDS, Oracle 10G, MS-SQL 2005 & 2008

  • Developed all of the Business Continuity strategies and IT policy/procedures.
  • Established all of the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance controls, procedures and all preparations related to quarterly audits
  • Avoided a major disaster by recovering Windows 2000 AD (had to seize all roles and move them to a healthy DC, then migrated directory services to windows 2003) this was accomplished without a backup of the system-state during my first week of employment. The main DC was down for over 60 days before I was hired.
  • VMware roll out project- converted all physical Windows based servers to virtual machines, saving thousands of dollars in the process.
  • Resolved data/phone line outage issue with local ISP (power surge was causing data & phone line outages, Bellsouth replaced smart jack cards and all batteries at the MUX for the entire building after an extensive amount of trouble-shooting on our end).

  • Converted all Windows servers to virtual machines running on In turn saved the company about 60k on hardware/software by using Linux and VMware.
  • Implemented a highly secure infrastructure by building a deep-packet inspection firewall that is based on IP-tables and Linux. Was able to eliminate virus intrusion to the network for two years after implementation.
