  • Worked up the chain of command, eventually assuming top lead positions in a very fast-paced, high volume, full-service restaurant/nightclub. Involved in all aspects of food and cocktail service. Responsible for training new employees, opening and closing store and effectively handling customer relations and complaints. Worked well with all team members, both in the front and back of the house.
  • Played an integral role in promotional events, both on-site and off-site, including appearances at major local events. Successful at up selling food and beverages and increasing sales of clothing and other promotional items. Able to remain calm under pressure. This was especially important during twice-weekly quarter beer nights. Also worked shifts as a ‘Tooter Girl’, selling specialty & Jello shots, and as a ‘Beer Barrel Girl’.

BARIATRIC PROGRAM MANAGER, PATIENT COUNSELOR

WHITTIER HOSPITAL MEDICAL CENTER
  • Initially a patient counselor for Lite Life, a nationwide pioneer bariatric program. When Lite Life dissolved, co-created a new bariatric program, The Center for Surgical Weight Loss at Whittier Hospital. Created and organized marketing via health, medical and community fairs. Conceived, developed and published quarterly newsletter and promotional/educational program packets.
  • Top producer with six years experience in an established and proven medical program. Ninety-five percent success rate in obtaining insurance approvals. Personally overturned insurance denials by establishing medical necessity. Scheduled all necessary preoperative and postoperative appointments. Conducted initial consultations, hospital rounds, hospital discharges and follow-up appointments. Evaluated for medical necessity and referred patients for postoperative plastic surgery to Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Alexander Sinclair. Assisted in Medical Records, Education and Human Resources departments. Excellent rapport and working relationships with physicians, hospital and medical staff, insurance providers, patients and their families.

  • Employed by a recognized leader in maximizing reimbursement under Medi-Cal, SSI and Victim of Crime programs and other third-party payers. Established eligibility of uninsured patients for government programs, substantially decreasing loss of revenue for contracting facilities and hospitals statewide, including nursing/long-term care facilities and psychiatric facilities and major hospitals ie Cedars Sinai, Western Medical, Mission, all Kaisers.
  • Worked with patients, medical staff and social and eligibility workers to insure completion and full documentation of application and case presentation. Followed to insure case approval, facility reimbursement and continued treatment for patients. Maintained excellent rapport with various state agencies to insure proper case processing, award negotiations, appeal procedures and regulation applications. Excellent mediator, arbitrator and facilitator.
  • Served as a liaison, working with patients, emergency room and staff physicians, nurses, case managers, discharge planners and hospital and government social workers. Contacted homeless shelters, board and care facilities and various other leads to locate and assist homeless and psychiatric patients. Assisted potential disability cases; patients with long-term chronic illnesses and long term injuries, to obtain Social Security Disability.

  • Daily duties included contacting and interacting with clients and client prospects, compiling pertinent information regarding sales transactions and insurance policies, coordinating appointments for agents, fielding incoming calls, e-mail and faxes and logistically managing files and information. Prior duties included researching potential investment properties on the internet MLS and accompanying employer in previewing and showing homes to potential buyers. ARTIST MANAGEMENT, ARTIST LIAISON, RECORDING STUDIO MANAGER

DGBG WOW ARTIST ENTERTAINMENT LLC
  • Handled daily operations of a 5000 sq ft state of the art recording studio. Responsibilities included customer relations, sales and service, contract negotiation, and management and staffing of in-house and freelance producers, engineers, musicians, administrative staff, interns and runners. Managed and booked the recording studio's room sessions. Acted as the liaison for clients to ensure their needs were met when working at the facility; solicited new business.
  • Maintained all studio equipment as well as upkeep of facility in general. Negotiated studio rates and prices and new contracts between artists and DGBG WOW in my dual role as studio manager and in artist management, as an artist liaison and right hand to the company president, Douglas Stanley Goldstein, former manager of top bands Guns ‘N’ Roses, Great White and Blind Melon. Job responsibility areas: Operational, Sales and Marketing.
