Proven track record and experience of teaching all ages (Primary, Secondary and Further education). Subject specialist in Functional Skills Mathematics, English and ICT. Vast experience of vocational and non vocational qualifications.
Developing and delivering bespoke staff training programmes (CPD) to improve performance such as, SMART target setting, IAG, behaviour management, OTLA's, lesson plan creation, IAG, E-safety, Improving productivity, Embedding Maths, English and ICT, Safeguarding, assessment and quality assurance.
Producing, leading and monitoring Quality improvement plans and Self assessment review (SAR) to identify areas for improvment. In depth knowledge of stratergies to tackle underperformance.
Planning and directing the activities of the team to ensure the delivery of a high quality education service which meets the targets, standards and outcomes. Managing and investigating any complaints both from service users and external individuals / agencies. Leading, managing, developing and motivating a team of vocational and non vocational teaching and support staff. Managing performance appraisals of staff through 1:1 supervisions, probation period reviews and appraisals. Controlling and monitor expenditure on services against the project and service budget. Continuously monitoring data to ensure the team and centre meets its KPI's. Undertake OTLA's to monitor performance and support and develop staff to continuously improve. Developing and delivering staff training (CPD) Writing centre quality improvement reports, self assessment reviews and business development plans to identify areas for improvement.
Planning and delivering Functional Skills English, Mathematics and ICT across the provision. Organising examinations and controlled assessments and monitoring the IQA process. Undertaking OTLA's and walkthroughs to performance manage the quality of teaching learning and assessment. Planning and delivering staff training CPD sessions.
