As an Interior Designer and Draftsperson this position is a valuable resource that is available to all designers and architects for both design and technical issues. The designer will frequently take the lead on coordinating interior details on projects. The role includes working on medium and smaller jobs, both simple and technically challenging, under the supervision of a Senior Architect. Skills include: Interior Architecture: Design Theory; Design Conceptualization; Drawing, Drafting, Sketching; Construction Drawings; Technical Drawings; Space Planning; Layout/Plan Development; Lighting Design; Knowledge of AutoCAD and PowerCADD; Interior Renderings; Color Illustration; Coordination and Communication with Trades Personnel. Interior Furnishings: Color Boards; Furnishing Specifications; Window Treatment Design; Material Selections and Recommendations; Furnishing Specifications; Accessories and Artwork. Marketing: Proposal development--responding to RFQs & RFPs, working with Project Managers, Principals, Office Managers, and Administrative Assistants to create submittals, including: writing, editing, and procuring content; layout and transitioning of content into InDesign; also taking full responsibility for the production, printing, binding and shipment of the completed proposal.
