I'm an experienced IT manager with nearly 20 years in the financial sector. I have deep experience in the fixed income application development space and broad knowledge of general IT management, people management, quality assurance and risk management. I'm a manger of managers with experience with teams of 50 and budgets of $10 million.
Fixed Income Application Development - Lead developer of the fixed income decision support and reporting application used by the portfolio managers, analysts and traders. Responsible for moving the application from a mainframe to a client server architecture and later enabled it for the web.

Fixed Income Application Development - Built a suite of applications to support the fixed income investment team with over $300 billion under management. I was responsible for team management and development. I was also a individual contributor with a focus on the decision support, analytics and attribution applications. Other applications include order management and trading, trader pricing support and portfolio tracking error. Tools used were Intex, Bloomberg, BondProbe, YieldBook, and more.
Quality Assurance - Increased the quality of the equity trading, order management and compliance applications by creating and managing a centralized quality assurance team. Standardized the quality assurance process and tools to allow quality assurance team members to more easily move to different areas. Reduced the effort necessary for regression testing by automating the test suites using the Mercury platform.
Fixed Income Application Development - Managed the fixed income development team. The team was 30 in size and located in three California locations, London England and Bangalore . The team was composed of internal associates and onsite and offshore contractors. The team was responsible for the trading application suite, analytics, attribution and reporting.

Global Equity Attribution - Managed a team who delivered portfolio data to an outsourced attribution system (FactSet) on-time and under budget.
IT Risk Management - Lead several efforts to reduce risk in IT by implementing new processes across all of IT.
- Production migration - Reduced production migration errors by 50% by standardizing the procedures to migrate software from development, quality assurance to production.
- Separation of duties - Formalized the roles in the software development process and setup the proper security environment to limit access only to those areas each role has a need to modify.
- Software development life cycle (SDLC) - Standardized the SDLC process and documentation.
- Audit documentation - Reduced the time necessary to produce the audit documentation by 75% by automating the process.

Developed the institutional indications driver for ITG's program trading server (QuantEx). Responsible for the installation scripts for the server side software. Automated several functions of the front and back office.
Jun 1989 - May 1991
Designed and implemented programs to verify the proper operation of VLSI and memory test equipment. Extended and maintained the user interface of a major diagnostic program. Created several tools which auto-generated C++ code based on information contained in a relational database.
