Roni Amid has remained focused on his philanthropic endeavors during over two decades in business, finance, and real estate. Born in Israel and educated in Jerusalem, as well as at Tel Aviv University, Amid has taken great measures to ensure the flourishing of the Jewish culture. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Educational Campus in Las Vegas. The Adelson school is one of the few Hebrew schools in Nevada and the only one available to children ranging from preschool age to 12th grade. In addition to donating $25,000 to the school, Roni Amid led a fundraising effort for area children stricken with cancer. He partnered with the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation to raise over $115,000 for patients.

Roni Amid finds philanthropic opportunities in his business dealings, as well. He presently owns the Twain Estates, and during the 2010 holiday season, he provided hot meals and gifts to his tenants, a welcome gesture during the current economic downturn. The Resident Administrator thanked Roni Amid for what she described as the most gracious act she had seen by a building owner in her 13 years in real estate.

Roni Amid served as Vice Chairman of Aviation for MAXjet Airways, Inc. and worked as a special consultant to the board. In charge of fundraising, he procured $100 million from London’s Alternative Investment Market, which played a vital role in the founding stages of the innovative company. Amid oversaw the growth of an all-business class airline that flew from London to several American cities. His duties included opening MAXjet Airways stops in Los Angeles; New York City; Washington, D.C.; and Las Vegas. He left MAXjet Airways in 2008. In Roni Amid’s spare time he enjoys boating and joining his kids to waterski.
