General Manager - Utah

Morrison-Maierle, Inc.
  • Full-service civil engineering, planning and surveying firm.
  • Responsible for business development, profitability and administration.
  • Led the Utah office to profitability for the first time in the last few months of 2008.

  • Doubled revenues for 2008 over 2007 in the Utah office.

1993 - 2006

Executive Director, Transportation Services

City of Fort Collins

  • Organized and led a new Transportation Service Area including engineering, streets, traffic operations, transit, parking structures, parking enforcement, transportation planning, airport and transportation demand management.
  • Acquired several capital grants from Federal Transit and Federal Highway Administrations.
  • Negotiated and achieved commercial air service, and increased the Federal Aviation Administration investment in the Airport by several million dollars.
  • Planned, financed, designed and constructed over $150 million in capital street projects and public facilities.
  • Created the vision for a bus rapid transit/trail corridor and obtained funding in a capital improvement ballot issue. Completed Master Plan, preliminary engineering and EA for the corridor, and design and construction of the Mason Trail.
  • Completed multiple transportation master plans, built two transit centers, implemented a new advanced traffic management system and traffic operations center, and built two parking structures and a de-icing materials storage facility.
1984 - 1993

Town Manager

Town of Vail
  • Town Manager for a high quality international resort community, accountable to a seven member elected Town Council for the management of all municipal functions involving six operating departments.
  • Leader of a public/private coalition in developing a contractual mechanism to own and operate a regional transportation system, and to purchase land for a recreation and affordable housing complex.
  • Expanded and enhanced two transit systems, recreation trails, and two parking structures.
  • Reconstructed 70% of the street system.
  • Coordinated transportation, parking and security services as an Executive Team member of the Organizing Committee for the 1989 World Alpine Ski Championships.
