Independent Sales Consultant serving the Tri-Cities Territory #446 in Michigan.

- Covering and attending all Orthopedic Trauma surgery cases presented in this wide geographic territory.

- Promotion of all Synthes trauma products to enhance patient care when surgery is required.

- Providing detailed in service training to staff and surgeons alike on trauma and trauma product.

- Experience in selling capital budget; reusable and disposable product.

- Documented and sustained growth of the territory; doubling product base within the first year of placement.

Nov 1989 - May 2005

Surgical Technologist/ First Assistant

Munson Medical Center

Surgical Technologist/First Assistant hired by the then Operating Room Manager to establish; set up and implement a NEW Open Heart Program at this hospital.

After program start up; maintained the position as Coordinator, Open Heart Team; duties to include but NOT limited to:

- Maintain program instrumentation and supplies; ordering of specialty items, as needed.

- Scrub and assist on all procedures rotating with other team staff.

- In service training of all team members; other OR personnel and members of other departments as required.

- Appointments with vendors to evaluate new products/technologies for the program.

- Liaison between program surgeons and OR management.

Naval School of Health Sciences

From November, 1983 through June, 1984 I attended 3 different schools of training in the US-Navy; finishing with an Associates in Surgical Technology. A position I worked at until my Honorable Discharge in November of 1989.

Graduated as Valedictorian of my class; GPA    3.94.



Orthopedic Trauma

As a skilled Operating Room clinician, I had a vast number of years working in Orthopedics but my time with Synthes Trauma as a Sales Consultant only enhanced my skills and knowledge. This knowledge was greatly appreciated by my surgeons and enhanced a collaborative relationship between us. This was evident in the requests to review x-rays, choose the appropriate implants and formulate game plans for complicated procedures.

Contract skills

Through Synthes was trained on "Contract" writing, negotiating and implementation.


Versatile in both Apple and IBM programming; - Most recently in Microsoft Office, Outlook , Spreadsheet; Windows XP and Vista

Ms. Bauer was the person who gave me the oppurtunity at Synthes and was my first Regional Manager. I owe her a ton for her confidence, mentoring and friendship.

Velda Jennett

Ms. Jennett was instrumental in my dealings with the surgeons and the hospital to advance and improve the availability of the trauma product for their patient population.

We have also become good friends over the time we worked together.
