Passionate about helping those experiencing illness and other health concerns, Ronald Caparella is widely recognized as one of New York City’s leading ultrasound trainers and technicians. Based in the Glen Oaks neighborhood of Queens, he currently serves at the helm of Vital Scan, LLC, a company he co-founded in 2009. In his role at Vital Scan, Mr. Caparella works with medical practices throughout the city to offer portable vascular ultrasound services on a GE Vivid i Cardiovascular Ultrasound System.Prior to the launch of his current company, Mr. Caparella worked as an instructor at the Institute of Allied Medical Professionals, where he trained the rising generation of ultrasound professionals. In his most recent role, he taught subjects such as anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology under the strict guidelines set forth by the Institute’s governing body. Owing to his excellence as an instructor, Mr. Caparella’s students maintained a 100 percent exam passage and certification rate.Earlier in his professional development, Ronald Caparella devoted nearly a decade as a vascular technician in Brentwood, New York, where he worked as a staff member in the medical practice of Margarita C. Pascual, MD. During his time in this position, Mr. Caparella maintained responsibility for performing vascular procedures including venous and arterial duplex of the lower and upper extremities, carotid and abdominal aorta gray scale imaging, and Doppler imaging, in addition to conducting pulse volume recording, evaluating grafts, and reporting findings to the directing physician. At the onset of his career as a vascular technician, Mr. Caparella spent 10 years at Winthrop University Hospital in New York, performing vascular modalities while instructing ultrasound technologists and medical interns on the use of ultrasound technology.In 1997, Ronald Caparella completed state certification in cardiovascular ultrasound at the Ultrasound Diagnostic School in Carle Place, New York. When he is not at work, he enjoys promoting talented newcomers in the fields of fashion and art.
