Rod Sacharnoski is the owner and founder of Juko-Kai International, a martial arts association based in Texas. Widely recognized as a leading martial arts demonstrator, Rod Sacharnoski has appeared on over 20 major television shows and authored books on Toide and Combat Ki, a system he personally developed in the 1960s and which has become world famous. The Juko-Kai Combat-Ki system involves intensive training that allows practitioners to receive full power kicks and blows to vital areas of their bodies without sustaining injury. The discipline takes its name from the Japanese work “ki,” which is similar to the Chinese word “chi,” the internal energy connected with control of the breath, mind, and body. Soke Sacharnoski developed his one-of-a-kind Ki art that permits his students to accept full-power punches and strikes to the chest, abdomen, throat, genitals and other vital areas of the body without damage. Impressive demonstrations of Combat-Ki have appeared on television shows such as Ripley’s Believe It Or Not and ABC’s Wide World of Sports. While training is available only to Juko-Kai members, special Combat-Ki courses do exist for law enforcement and military personnel.
