A long-time resident of Utah, Rodney Morley has spent his career in various entrepreneurial endeavors, earning him distinction as a finalist for Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year. Axiom Financial, the mortgage firm he founded in 1996 and left in 2006, consistently ranked as one of Utah's fastest-growing companies, expanding from a two-person brokerage to a major lender closing $500 million in loan volume annually. During his tenure as president, Rodney Morley's dedication to his core principles in fulfilling Axiom Financial's mission statement won the company multiple titles as “Best of State” for mortgage banking and recognition from Utah Business Magazine. Interested in business from his childhood, Rodney Morley launched a residential painting company as his first entrepreneurial venture at the age of 18. Only four years later, he created a venture capital firm, The Independence Group. Later he worked with Covey Leadership Center, heading a team of professionals consulting with companies such as General Motors, Chevron, Saturn, and First Union National Bank. Rodney Morley received his education from the Utah institution, Brigham Young University, studying business management and organizational psychology. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1991 and also earned a distinguished Service Award from the Marriott School of Management for his humanitarian work in the African nation of Mali. The same dedication to service that brought him this award led Rodney Morley to found the Life Hope Foundation in 2001. He still remains an instrumental part of the organization's work carried out through various charitable enterprises, such as hardship grants and the Genesis Project. Currently, Rodney Morley leads his most recent mortgage venture, Axiom Home Loans, expanding its services and clientele from its headquarters in Orem, Utah. Rodney Morley also heads his own auto racing team at Volo Motorsports, where he acts as the lead driver for SCCA events and the F1000 Pro Series. His racing career is distinguished by a number of first place finishes, seven track records, and a second place victory at the SCCA National Championship Runoffs.
