Rob Wassem Senior level leadership in CPG and Luxury Goods As GM of Silent Gliss, the world’s foremost luxury window treatment manufacturer based in Gumligen, Switzerland, Rob Wassem oversaw all operational and functional responsibilities for SGUSA in North and South America. Prior to this position, Wassem served as the Vice President of Business Development for Arauco’s North American Division, where he was responsible for all Sales and Marketing activities in the US, Canada and Mexico. Arauco, the world’s largest forestry company (2.5M acres of forest in SA), is headquartered in Santiago, Chile. Previously Wassem served as Director of Sales & Marketing over the North American retail segment for The Chamberlain Group, a global leader in the Door access equipment market. Additionally, Wassem served as National Field Sales Manager and District Sales Manager for CGI. Wassem has extensive leadership development and coaching experience in the Consumer (CPG) and Luxury Products markets and operated both start ups and turn-arounds for domestic and international markets. Wassem has long been active in many civic and professional organizations, serving on numerous boards in NYC, Chicago, and Georgia, including the American Association of Interior Designers (AAID), Swiss Chamber of Commerce, DASMA, Luxury Council, Gerson Lehrman Consulting, and Accelerated Readers for Youth. A native of Dover, Ohio, Wassem holds an Executive Masters of Business Administration (EMBA) degree from The University of Georgia; he also has a BSBA degree from the University of Bowling Green and a AA degree from Kent State University. He also has extensive coaching and leadership training from The Wharton School of Business and Kellogg Graduate School of Business.
