Rob Teplitz is an energetic, experienced, and capable leader running to represent the 15th District in the Pennsylvania State Senate. Teplitz’s priorities in representing his district, which includes parts of York and Dauphin counties, are to make government more efficient, protect taxpayer dollars, encourage job growth, strengthen our schools, and bring accountability and open disclosure to the state government's operations. Teplitz currently serves as the Pennsylvania Department of the Auditor General’s Chief Counsel and Policy Director. Over the past 14 years, he has worked tirelessly alongside prominent leaders such as Jack Wagner and Bob Casey in bringing his message of institutional reform to Harrisburg. Teplitz's achievements include uncovering the unsustainable financial vehicles that have wasted taxpayer dollars on Wall Street, and bringing those who violate the public trust to justice. He has also helped strengthen Megan’s Law, a key piece of legislation aimed at protecting the public from sexual predators. In the latter effort, he is supported by his wife, Randi, a respected professor and attorney who has long supported the rights of domestic violence victims.A lifelong Central Pennsylvanian, 41-year-old Rob Teplitz grew up in Lower Paxton Township and graduated from Central Dauphin High School. He earned his Bachelor’s degree at Franklin & Marshall College and his J.D. at Cornell Law School, and began his career in Harrisburg as a commercial litigation attorney. In addition to his public office responsibilities, Teplitz serves as Adjunct Professor of History and Law at Central Penn College, Summerdale. Active in his community, Rob Teplitz has served on the boards of organizations such as the Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg, the Dauphin County Bar Association, and the American Cancer Society.
