Skills In Action

One day I started to think what will I do with all of my skills and talent and how could I establish a way for them to work in unison. So while talking to my friend an Idea hit me, and "I said said let build a video game, and not just any video some thing can only defined as an experience. Throughout this process I developed new skills and refined others. In my spare time I work on the development of this project. I will be posting content weekly for my portfolio  and anyone is interested in the development process. 

Phase #1

Throughout this process I have been working with researching  C# and Java code for implementation and development of the project. For development of our marketing strategies and to receive funding I have been working on network development and design, graphic design, story design, and game concept/design. For network development and design I have been experimenting various network toplogies that would be able to handle various fault scenarios and establishing them inside of network simulators.

Provided technical support to customers over the phone ensuring their services are fully operational and current issues at hand were taken care of as soon as possible. Verified that cable converter boxes, cable modems, and telephone modems were operating properly by verifying signal levels were in appropriate ranges. Verified computers were able to operate on the provided cable Internet service by checking basic TCP/IP settings, hardware compatibility, and testing network connections with built in windows tools. I additionally helped establish home networks by guiding them through equipment setup procedures. I developed the ability to deescalate frustrated customers and provide an outstanding customer experience. I have received feedback on a monthly basis on how knowledgeable and helpful I was in assisting them.

Developed and maintained departmental troubleshooting procedures for the help desk to service network users and the infrastructure. Maintained inventory logs, trained subordinates, enforced information assurance policies, and maintained a professional work environment. Major task included installing/testing/configuring Cisco Routers/Switches, imaging client PCs, Network Monitoring, create/maintain user accounts and balance workload of the team.
