  • Completed EDI mapping requirements for a flexible spending product requiring a new EDI path which included Institutional Claims (837 I), Professional Claims (837 P) and Enrollment (834) files.
  • Assisted in the configuration of a translation tool that also provided Acknowledgements (.997).
  • Provided research and analytical skills to assist in the development of database procedures to load the new EDI data into the existing database. 
  • Determined the correct code sets to be used and cross-referenced those code sets to the proprietary categories.
  • Determined the proper telecommunication protocols and pathways for incoming and outgoing data and reports.

  • Managed internal and client Provider Communications and Compliance for RelayHealth, a McKesson Company, which is the nation's leading health care services company that touches virtually every aspect of health care.  RelayHealth Provider assists thousands of hospitals and providers in increasing their cash flow and has an employee base of over 2,000.
  • Identified immediate cost reductions through operational communication improvements by collaborating with clients, increasing the speed of communication to the customer regarding industry and software compliance and payor issues to prevent interruption of service to clients.  This also improved the customer experience which was widely recognized by several customers during a variety of surveys (KLAS included).
  • Instituted free trainings on compliance and regulatory issues as a service to our internal staff members as well as our customers and vendors.Customers, vendors and employees complimented both the training and my knowledge and professionalism repeatedly by providing me ThankQs (an internal recognition program (received 10 in 2008), mentioning my name in surveys (KLAS and Omega) and providing feedback to my supervisor(s).  Issues ranged from HIPAA, SOX issues to Medicare, Medicaid, X12 and Payer regulations.
  • Assisted the company in a more streamlined approach to upcoming regulatory issues by creating an  Advisory Board to determine next steps regarding changes in the Industry and then facilitating the requirements and design discussions with the subject matter experts and the programming staff.  I also led trainig on all compliance and regulatory changes.  One of the larges projects I led through this new process included NPI which was received very well by our customers and internal staff members.
  • Increased assurance of provider enrollment before implementation by approximately 25% with customers by streamlining the enrollment process and instituting project management processes and procedures.
  • As Co-Chair of the Employee Opinion Survey Committee (EOSC) for two years, assisted in increasing employee satisfaction by 25% in areas such as communication, performance management, and training.
  • Managed a team of 12 business analysts, enrollment coordinators and implementation coordinators.
