While with Saddleback Church, provided overall leadership meeting the technology and media demands for the global expansion, including support of corporate requirements. Provided vision and leadership for developing and implementing IT initiatives and supported these initiatives in a hands-on manner. Participated in developing the framework for the 12-City Peace Plan Strategy (Strategic Imperatives, Owners, Processes, Operational Governance), Budget, Executive Presentations and Intel Gathering. Assisted with defining strategy, specifications and support for the unprecedented "Church in a Cloud" software solution. Researched, selected, negotiated contracts, implemented and trained staff on a solutions such as the Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce and Formsite), Project Management (Smartsheet), Social Media Management (Radian-6), Content Management (Composite C1), Media Asset Management (Levels-Beyond and Kaltura), Learning Management (Litmos), Google Enterprise Applications, and Scrum for Agile Development (Microsoft TFS 2012).

While with Deluxe, the Carson Entertainment Group issued a press release in August 2010 about a new B2B website we developed giving authorized user's unprecedented access to the entire Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson library. 30 years of the show was digitized, organized, transcribed and made keyword searchable by all guests, bits, performances, commercials or any word anyone uttered. Saddleback Church

An evangelical Christian church founded in 1980 by pastor Rick Warren, serving more than 200 ministries and expanding into 12 global cities (Amman, Bangalore, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Freetown, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, London, Manila, Mexico City, Moscow, Tokyo). Weekly church attendance averages over 20,000 people, currently making it the seventh-largest church in the United States.

  • Responsible for the Peace Plan website, which is a church-to-church strategy to mobilize ordinary members to do normal tasks that make a difference in the world. The goals of the portal are to turn an audience into an army, consumers into contributors, and spectators into participators in response to the giant problems affecting billions of people such as poverty, disease and illiteracy. Brought software development in house and deployed 10 significant enhancements in 9 months.
  • Developed specifications for a Communications / Situation center including technology tools to monitor and track developments worldwide in real-time 24/7.
  • Gathered requirements from ministries, designed and presented (wire-frame) stories for a new global mobile app on Spiritual Health Assessment. Produced webinars for Intelligence Gathering of 12 Global Cities and managed volunteers to assist with the technology, education, training and capturing of strategic information. Advocated the IT vision via regular written and in-person communications and authored quarterly status reports which highlighted the progress of foundational strategies, plans and programs for planting 12 churches in 12 cities in 2012.
  • Traveled as needed to assist, recruit and lead talented multidisciplinary teams and strengthen local relationships. Led a mission trip to Berlin. Managed the Worldwide Photography Ministry. Provided thought leadership on media services such as element assessment, restoration, preservation, and access-enablement strategies.


·Secured a relationship with the Carson Entertainment Group which led to the foundational portal implementation that gives authorized users unprecedented access to the entire Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson library for revenue generating opportunities. Led the digitization, organization, transcription and development of a keyword searchable database categorized by monologues (2,595), guests (8,002), performances (16,276), commercials (19,434) or any word uttered (25 million words of metadata added at 99% accuracy). The results were positive with flattering news stories in The LA Times (front page), Variety (front page), The New York Times (arts section), and an informative closing segment on the NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams (and Ann Curry).

·Assumed responsibility for business development when the new division had no customers and formed new relationships with such academic, museum, corporate, sports, and faith-based organizations and personality groups as Johnny Carson, Will Rogers, Lily Tomlin, Polo Ralph Lauren, UCLA, the National Religious Broadcasters Association, the Ultimate Fighting Championships, World Vision International, and Boeing to generate revenues in the multiple millions of dollars.

Led technology initiatives and directed operations of a firm with 210 employees and 33 global corporate organizations as clients. Managed a $5.5 million portfolio, 8 direct reports, 45 employees, and 52 indirect reports in development and maintenance of digital assets, databases, repositories, infrastructure, support, vendor relationships, and policies. Ensured that solutions were available, reliable, secure, and effective while managing the relocation operations and client accounting divisions for West Coast customers.

·Established an offshore software-development office in Bangalore, developed a successful insourcing/outsourcing model; and used such formal methodologies as Six Sigma, Information Technology Services Management (ITSM formerly ITIL), RUP, Agile, and Object-oriented and Zachman frameworks to reduce the software development capital budget 71% ($917,000) in 12 months.

Established and managed financial, banking and vendor relationships.

·Developed a comprehensive business-planning system tied to annual compensation and bonus structure, a cash-management system to maximize the use of funds and interest income.Directed the implementation of an extract, transform and load (ETL) batch transactional processing solution.

·Established Newport Mobility with an aggressive strategy to gain critical mass and compete in southern California.Assumed a key role in the startup development and implementation of operations, finance, and IT.

Managed the design and commercial deployment of an integrated suite of software solutions for dental providers that automated diagnostic and treatment plans, verified patient eligibility and predetermined benefits in real-time, sent digitized charts and x-rays from an office to insurance companies (DHMOs, PPOs, TPAs), automatically scheduled appointments based on procedure content, submitted electronic claims, and received immediate direct deposit payments. Toshiba Medical Systems

A leading global developer of medical imaging equipment.


Developed the service support center software that provided 24-hour support of cardiology- and radiology-imaging medical equipment. Features included same day delivery of parts from warehouse and distribution centers, forecasting failures to schedule preventative maintenance during normal working hours with replacement parts in hand, dispatching, billing, and assisting on-site engineers with technical support.
