An experienced college administrator, Dr. Robert Massa has built a career in admissions, financial aid, and enrollment management. Currently serving as Lafayette College’s Vice President for Communications, Dr. Robert Massa also spent a year as an ACE Fellow for a Pennsylvania community college. In this role, Dr. Robert Joseph Massa advised and collaborated with leaders at the college to facilitate students’ transfer to four-year institutions.Originally, Dr. Robert Massa intended to become a school psychologist, but changed his career path while working in the admissions office during his graduate studies at the University of Rochester. After completing his Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, he accepted a position in the admissions department of Columbia University’s Teachers College. He later completed a Doctor of Education at the college. Subsequently, Dr. Bob Massa assumed positions of greater responsibility at other universities.Dr. Robert Massa spent most of the 2000s at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where he contributed as the Vice President of Enrollment and College Management. In this position, he helped shift the college’s admissions practices to include a greater number of students who did not require financial aid. Dr. Bob Massa also implemented policies to increase attendance by men, minorities, and international students. Throughout his time there, he encouraged officials to invest in programs and facilities while becoming more selective in admissions.In other endeavors, Dr. Robert J. Massa is a Trustee for a small college in Pennsylvania and a school in Sun Valley, Idaho. He previously served in similar capacities for other educational institutions. In his free time, Dr. Robert J. Massa enjoys hiking and traveling abroad. Dr. Robert Joseph Massa also attends choral concerts and spends time with his wife and grown son.
