Robert E. Akeson

New York resident Robert E. Akeson graduated from Connecticut College in May of 2016 with a BA in environmental studies and economics; his double major entailed studying topics as diverse as marine pollution, geophysics, corporate finance, and econometrics. Robert E. Akeson is a member of the National Honor Society and received an International Baccalaureate diploma in June of 2012.

While in college, Mr. Akeson collaborated in managing a portion of Connecticut College’s endowment and voted on financial investments as a healthcare and energy analyst of the Peggotty Investment Club. He has also served as a summer intern in two New York firms: at H.C. Wainwright, he collaborated with the metals and mining research team, and at Gerschel & Co., he assisted an investment team in reviewing water and healthcare stocks.

Mr. Akeson engaged in numerous extracurricular activities as an undergraduate, including playing on the lacrosse club team, basketball team, and in the golf club. He also served as associate student chair of the Student Life Advisory Committee.
