Robert Clements, an educational administrator with 18 years of classroom and leadership experience, most recently served in the role of Elementary School Principal with the Chino Valley Unified School District in Chino, California. After playing an integral role in opening the school, he signed on as a teacher in 1993. He received an appointment to Assistant Principal in 2001, and assumed the post of Principal in 2003. Under the leadership of Mr. Clements, the school achieved California Distinguished School status and increased its academic performance index by 80 points within seven years. Additionally, the school-wide attendance rate remained above 97 percent during his tenure as principal. In his position, Mr. Clements relied on a detailed familiarity with state educational criteria, as well as with supplemental and interventional curriculum programs at all grade levels. Other strengths he leveraged in his role included in-depth experience with implementing staff development programs, staffing schools, and training personnel. He also utilized his expertise in managing budgets, creating and managing programs, and working to achieve educational goals. Mr. Clements earned a Master of Arts in Educational Administration at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. During his graduate education, he maintained a 4.0 grade point average and attained a California Clear Administrative Services Credential, a certification awarded by the university's School of Behavioral Sciences. Prior to enrolling at Azusa Pacific University, he earned Clear Multiple Subjects Teaching Credentials at California Polytechnic University in Pomona, California.Throughout his career, Mr. Clements has received significant recognition for professional excellence. Some of the accolades he has earned include membership in the California Businessman's Honor Roll, a Teacher of the Year Award from Toyota of Pomona in 1994, and three nominations for Disney's Teacher of the Year Award.
