An award-winning graphic designer, inventor, and patent holder, Robert Baittie founded the Chicago area full-service firm Bob Baittie Design, Inc., in 1989. With more than 90 percent of his clients coming from referrals, a testament to his talent and professionalism, he focuses on the client’s goals and budget, providing an estimated timeline and cost for each project while allowing customers to request changes and receive final approval. Known for his talent, efficiency in meeting deadlines, and affordable prices, Robert Baittie offers the full spectrum of corporate visual communications, including branding and identity packages, theme development, packaging, advertising, print and online brochures, and collateral items. His clients have included corporations and small businesses in the financial, manufacturing, services, health care, and nonprofit sectors, such as Zacks Investment Research, NEC Corporation, biopharmaceutical firm Shire, and the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization.Robert Baittie attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating as Outstanding Senior Designer with a BFA in Graphic Design. For six months, he worked as a freelance artist, joining forces with Anne Tyler Design to produce a proposal for the State of Illinois and designing and facilitating the production of a number of projects for the American Medical Association. Subsequently, Baittie joined Mindscape, Inc., a producer of gaming and educational software, as a Senior Designer. There he created software packaging and collateral materials and then earned a promotion to Art Director.The recipient of the Superior Design Award for a direct mail campaign for Fitigues and the TED Award for trade show graphic installation design, Robert Baittie supports the American Cancer Society, Inc., and KIDSS for Kids, Inc., a volunteer fundraising auxiliary of the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. His pursuits outside of work are similar to his professional endeavors, including strategic theme development, website design, and creative brainstorming.
