Dr. Mulles is an international executive with more than thirty years of experience in the planning/programming, design and construction of large-scale, multi-million dollar international construction programs. His multi-award-winning endeavors include projects in Taipei, Bangkok, Singapore and Osaka as well as the United States.
Dr. Mulles has been a visiting lecturer at Kwansai Gakuin University in Japan and in the Graduate Engineering Program at Nanyang Technical University, Republic of Singapore. He also has participated in a number of Japanese and American corporate lecture programs dealing with construction methods/operations and managed growth.
Prior to joining the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, Dr. Mulles was Executive Vice President, Design & Construction with Terravant Land Company. He has also held executive level positions with Universal Studios, Bechtel’s International Division, Shimizu Corporation, Birtcher International and Neumann Development.
Dr. Mulles has lead project designed by such notable architects as The Rockwell Group, Looney Ricks Kiss, Michael Graves and Helmet Jahn and several of his projects have won awards for outstanding architectural achievement and land planning. One such project is Aventine a Hyatt destination facility in LaJolla, CA. Other award winning projects include Coronado Point in San Diego winner of the NAHB’s “Best Home Community” award in 1994 and was also selected by SAM as the 1993 Grand Winner for “Best Attached Home Community”.
Dr. Mulles holds a Doctorate in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Operational/Program Management as well as my Masters Degree in Construction Management. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam war with distinguished service with several combat and base engineering units.
