Ingenuity is a skill that is often required to overcome challenges from doing more with less to building a well organized, interactive interface for guiding users to the product they need.

Initiative has opened the door to many exiting opportunities! While it often leads to accepting heavier work loads, it also leads to larger rewards, such as gained experience and a good reputation.

Adobe Captivate

I have been creating self-paced, interactive, SCORM compliant trainings, with Adobe Captivate 3 & 4, for more than a year. However, I have also used this tool in non-traditional ways to create an interactive training directory for our customers as a short-term solution until we select and implement an LMS.

I have been teaching, participating in, or initiating meetings with WebEx for three years. We have also invented a way to offer and organize self-paced trainings via WebEx with a combination of Adobe Flash, Adobe Captivate and existing WebEx tools.

I am familiar with the GeoLearning Learning Management System.

I am familiar with the SumTotal Learning Management System.

The opportunities that distance/blended education open to the world are immeasurable and I am excited to be apart of it!

Bachelor of Science

Frostburg State is where I realized I was not made for a life of Psychology research.  I realized I wanted to be a part of history, not just a bystander.  So, I switched majors to Social Science, as I have always been avidly interested in learning what we did well and what we failed at throughout history, which I feel currently and always coexists with politics, as well as every life. I didn't know exactly what I would do with this knowledge, only that it interested me, and would be useful, no matter the chosen career.  I am glad to say, I was right.  That experience and absorption into how people throughout history have used initiative and ingenuity to accomplish amazing feats has proven to be an extremely valuable tool!
