Cataloged the collection of the Daniel Smiley Research Center using PastPerfect Museum Software in preparation for records to be added to SENYLRC's Koha catalog for special libraries. Bibliographic records were copy cataloged from Library of Congress or WorldCat records if available, otherwise original catalog records were created.
Worked in all areas of the library. Assignments included circulation, youth services, reference, technical services, etc.
Worked in many areas of the library, primarily in adult services. Tasks included collection development, reference and reader’s advisory. Weeded and selected for nonfiction, selected adult fiction. Wrote annotations for reading recommendations. Started development of and updated web reference guides.
Charged with the daily general care of one of several barns of broodmares, foals and young stock under minimal supervision. Responsibilities ranged from feeding, stall care, basic medical treatment and preparation of sale horses to assisting the vet and farrier. Also assisted with the Standardbred breeding program.
Worked with the Office of Institutional Advancement to research possible sources of funding for the equine program, particularly regarding potential green projects.
Communicated with the Office of Institutional Advancement about the equine program, giving an insider's perspective.
Responsible for daily care of approximately thirty horses.
