Account Manager

§Managed Ford’s, Daimler and other accounts, directing the new business development functions by developing new business projects by preparing and negotiating key technical requirements for the Vitro Group’s proprietary products for the Company’s proposals and contracts with prospective clients as Ford, Daimler and others. Liaising with professionals within the Company, our affiliates and clients to increase revenues and profits, and for troubleshooting problems.

Main achievements in this position:

§Increased sales to FORD by 13% from 2007 to 2009 (32 million USD.). Successfully contracted new business with Daimler for a new platform to be produce in Mexico.


Design Engineer/ New Business Account Manager

§Designed and validated automotive glass products as an integrated supplier in GM’s Tech Center; liaising with GM professionals and management, provided design and product engineering support for automotive glass products, packaging and detailed components to GM professionals. Led product development team meetings with GM professionals and management. reviewed and updated the company engineering plans; Participated in engineering reviews recommending action plans, as to keep design release programs.

§Successfully developed business with Honda, Toyota and Hyundai as these companies expanded their production in the U.S

Main achievements in this position:

§Successfully designed & developed glass parts for a GM new programs.


Customer Service Engineer

§Managed and coordinated a customer service team which supported all GM assembly plants in Mexico, taking care of complaints and claims of all assembly plants and supervising new vehicle lunches.

§Managed and coordinated the generation of quote tech proposals and negotiating with GM purchasing department to generate new businesses.

§Responsible for the customer service department, coordinating the customer service assistants to ensure the correct operation of the department and the fulfillment of the service, volume and on time delivery objectives.

Main achievements in this position:

§Vitro Automotive was awarded as GM’s Supplier of the Year for two years in a row 2004 & 2005.

§Coordinated a national market analysis, determining objectives and strategies to fulfill the Business objectives “to be leaders in the segment of Buses and Trucks at national level”.

§Successfully meet business objectives of increase market share in the segment of Buses and Trucks at national level. Implemented a business information system which helped an enhanced the decision making process for the bus and coach market.

Main achievements in this position:

§With the results and achievements Vitro Automotive was able to increase the market share by 60% from a 12% before in the Buses and Coach OE market.

** I was able to support the company occupying two Jobs at the same time for almost 2 years.
