I grew up in a legalistic church, where I was indirectly taught that God’s love for me depended upon how I dressed, what type of friends I chose, what type of music I listened to, etc. This constant burden repelled me away from church and the things of God. However, at the age of 15 I had the Gospel presented to me in a clear way at a youth rally, and I accepted Christ because I was tired of running from His will. I did not fully understand the Gospel of Grace at this point, but over the next few years mentors poured into my life and I began to gain understanding. When I was 17, a godly man in my life urged me to go on a mission trip to Wichita, KS. While on this trip, I felt called into the ministry. Since that point, God has been teaching me a huge amount of things about His Word, His love, and how to love others. I could not be more excited to be a part of His ministry, and I am anxiously looking forward to whatever the next step is in my life.
