Dr. Rizwan Nurani, an oncologist based in the Pacific Northwest, completed his Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Washington. Dr. Nurani stayed with the university as he pursued and obtained his Doctor of Medicine. During this four-year program, Dr. Nurani received a Neurological Surgery Research Fellowship award and honors from the Dean’s Office for his scholarship with the Medical Sciences Committee.Following his degree attainment, Dr. Rizwan Nurani fulfilled his internship requirements at the Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, before returning to the University of Washington, Seattle, to accept a residency in the Radiation Oncology department. Dr. Nurani served as Chief Resident during his final year.Dr. Rizwan Nurani most recently worked in affiliation with the MultiCare Regional Cancer Center in Tacoma, Washington, where he served as an oncologist and as the Principal Investigator for Cyberknife Multi-institutional Trials. Dr. Nurani relocated to the region to accept the position following several years in Jacksonville, Florida, where he practiced oncology at the Florida Radiation Oncology Group and the Southside and Cyberknife Cancer Center.During his training and subsequent professional engagements,Dr. Rizwan Nurani gained valuable experience working with several radiation oncology protocols. At present, Dr. Nurani possesses a wide range of clinical proficiencies, including stereotactic radiosurgery, brachytherapy, external beam, and radionuclides. Using these modalities, Dr. Nurani treats an array of cancers.A professional in good standing in the medical community, Dr. Rizwan Nurani enjoys membership with the American Society for Radiation Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Medical Association, among others. Additionally, he maintains a license to practice in Florida and Washington.
