  • Geometric dimensional check of foundation, equipment and auxiliaries skids positioning, levelling and alignment
  • Installation and assembling activities of machine components, such as: oil console, air system, interconnection piping, cooler, vacuum system, condenser system, oil flushing, blowing, etc.
  • Alignment of steam path, rotor centring, turning gear, bearings and couplings.
  • Pre-commissioning and commissioning of oil system, steam system, air system, vacuum system, condenser system, control system and dry gas seal console panel.
  • Help customers to plan all the installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities by detailed program scheduling.
  • Perform minor and major inspection of the machine.
  • Perform installation & inspection of mechanical seal both oil & dry gas seal (john crane, brugmann and Flowserve).
  • Work closely with Instrumentation Engineer during the installation, calibration and set-up activities for electrical instrumentation (such as vibration probes, bently axial displacement, thermocouple, temperature elements, I/P converters, etc).

  • Assists the Maintenance Engineer and the Mechanical Maintenance leader in the preparation of budgets, contracts, shutdowns, modifications, warranty claims, vendor mobilization and all other support functions necessary for the efficient running of the mechanical section.
  • Ensures updating of the CMMS (use NS5 Maintenance & Purchasing from ABS).
  • Administers the mechanical planned preventive maintenance programmed (create Work Order for each equipment), to ensure that the maintenance tasks undertaken are adequate to prevent unplanned equipment failure.
  • Liaises with vendors and the original equipment manufacturers for all queries regarding maintenance, modifications, spare parts, drawings and the resolution of technical problems.
  • Create Maintenance Equipment Log Book (MELB). Ensures that all drawings, plans, manual and MELB are up-to-date and “as built”, and directs draftsmen to carry out all corrections to reflect any alterations, modifications and additions to mechanical equipment systems.
