Research Interests

I work with Prof. Selmer Bringsjord on Logic and Language. I am currently forming a natural language interface to DCEC*. This involves Natural Language generation and understanding to enable Semantic Parsing.

Other interests: Machine Learning, NLP, Cognitive Modeling, Philosophy, Axiomatic Science.

Projects and Internships

  • DCEC* : I am concerned with the development of the logic and its linguistic interface since August 2014.
  • RAIR website : I am the main contributor and designer of the RAIR website (Sept - Oct 2014)
  • Detection of Metaphors in fiction : A venture with Prof. Heng Ji to detect Metaphors in fiction. (Jan- May 2014).
  • Segmentation and Classification of Compound Characters for formation of OCR in Bengali script : In-house Final year Project with Prof. Sekhar Mandal. Involved use of Principal Component Analysis and Wavelet Analysis for segmentation of compound characters in bengali script (2009-10).

  • Vectorization of Engineering Drawings: Summer Internship at ISI Kolkata  with (Summer 2009) with Prof. Bhabatosh Chanda

  • Development of OCR for Bengali Language: In-house Prefinal year project with Prof. Sekhar Mandal.

Job responsibilities: Engineering of operator interfaces, networking and integration of systems, Security and surveillance, Data acquisition and processing, Database Management and storage solutions, Testing and Site support.

ACHIEVEMENTS: HMI engineering for six power plants including 1 offshore power plant, Contribution to the in-house development of automation system, Design of time-efficient automation software.
