Based in Mechanicsburg, PA, Rick Rosenberg possesses 25 years of experience managing external funding relations for institutions of higher education. He currently serves as director of foundation, government, and corporate grants for Gettysburg College, 40 miles outside of Mechanicsburg, PA. In charge of a best practices grants program, he investigates sources of funding and occasions for new grant proposals, cultivates relationships with existing and prospective donors, and arranges visits from foundation representatives with the college’s president and provost. To advocate and support submissions for grants by Gettysburg faculty, Rick Rosenberg delivers a yearly grant workshop series and counsels faculty in search of outside financing.
Prior to joining Gettysburg College, Mr. Rosenberg served as director of corporate and foundation relations for Bucknell University. There, he oversaw a portfolio of potential corporate and foundation benefactors and implemented federal earmarks that yielded $2.4 million in congressional allocations over a two-year period. Rick Rosenberg has also worked with Hobart and William Smith Colleges, directing corporate and foundation relations, including securing the colleges’ first receipt of grants from the Hewlett, Luce, Gladys Brooks, and Culpepper Foundations.
Complementing his role at Gettysburg, Mr. Rosenberg participates in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Additionally, he has served on the leadership team for the CASE Conference for Corporate and Foundation Relations Officers. He also maintains membership in Central Pennsylvania Corporate and Foundation Relations Officers, an organization he helped establish in 2005.
