About Rick Norman

A senior executive and native of Japan, Rick Norman spent several years as an English language teacher at MeySen Academy before joining sister company Grape City as director and chairman. In his role with the firm, Rick Norman has been instrumental in bringing educational resources to regions throughout Asia, introducing the English language GrapeSEED curriculum to the Ministry of Education in the Buryat Republic of Russia, and supporting its implementation in numerous government schools. As a speaker at the Baikal Educational Forum in 2013 and 2014, he emphasized the importance of early childhood education to Russian educational experts. Earlier in his career, Mr. Norman led GreenCity, LLC, a wholesale food business which provides organic produce for embassies and international companies in China and Mongolia.

Throughout his career, Mr. Norman has been actively involved in various charitable endeavors. Cooperating with the General Police Department of Mongolia, he arranged the import of used clothing from Japan to provide for Mongolians in need; he also donated computer equipment to the General Police Department of Mongolia and sponsored several Police Chiefs seminars in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar.
