About Rick Dale Anderson

Rick Dale Anderson draws on more than two decades of experience in the medical device industry to serve as managing director of PTV Sciences. At the Austin, Texas, firm, which strives to promote healthcare innovation through investments in promising medical technologies from small companies, Rick Dale Anderson oversees a $400 million investment fund used to facilitate the development of these technologies and companies. He also offers his leadership experience to a number of entities in which PTV Sciences has invested, sitting on the boards of Tryton Medical, Corventis, and Apollo Endosurgery, among others. While serving as board chairman at IDEV Technologies, he assisted in the successful sale of the business to Abbott for $310 million.

Mr. Anderson’s previous positions include vice president of marketing of Racal Healthcare, a start-up firm developing industrial respiratory devices. In this role, he succeeded in growing its assets to $25 million and facilitating its $50 million acquisition by global technology firm 3M. The medical device executive also served as company group chairman for Johnson and Johnson, leading its Cordis Corporation division to achieve $4 billion in global sales.

Outside of the office, Rick Dale Anderson supports a number of charitable and community organizations, including the Bucks County Heritage Conservancy, the Wounded Warrior Project, and the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the cuisine of international locations and looks forward to sampling fine food and wine on his annual trip to Europe.
