Summary

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Council for Educational Travel (CET) USA, based in San Clemente, California, Rick Anaya has been with the company since 1995. CET is a global nonprofit organization specializing in student exchange programs which seek to help high school-aged Americans and foreign-exchange students learn more about themselves and each other. Daily life experiences, school-based programs, and immersion opportunities through work and travel support education and goodwill around the globe. Since 2010, Rick Anaya has added the responsibilities of Managing Director to his role with CET, first at the Vancouver site and now with CET International. As Managing Director, Mr. Anaya is charged with the oversight and administration of operations, including strategic planning and the management of human, material, and financial resources. Rick Anaya also works to formulate and approve CET International’s marketing campaigns. Rick Anaya served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War as an Emergency Medical Technician. He was honorably discharged in 1974 after earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. Following his military service, Rick Anaya attended Eastern New Mexico University in Roswell from 1974 to 1976 and the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque from 1976 to1979. A member of the Council on Standards for International Educational Standards, Rick Anaya also is a member of The Alliance for Educational International and Cultural Exchange and the World Youth Student & Education Travel Confederation. In his spare time, Mr. Anaya enjoys travel, theater, scuba diving, boating, and reading.
