Rick A. Butler has worked as a professional volleyball trainer and Head Coach since 1981. He has provided some of the most efficient and popular volleyball training lessons through video, publication, and company establishment. Rick Butler reaches out to various age groups and sports enthusiasts, many of whom have gone on to play competitive volleyball. As the winner of three Junior Varsity championships, he has led his teams to national and international success and trained award-winning volleyball players for the Olympic Games. Mr. Butler has maintained a passion for sports and athleticism for many years. He attended the University of Redlands, where he played the position of defensive back for the football team. He earned his BA in History and has since made his love of sports into a lifelong career. Among other things, Rick Butler volunteers his time to various sports organizations. He works as District Sports Director of the AAU Junior National Volleyball Program and serves on the committee for the Junior Volleyball Association. He also is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association, which is dedicated to bettering the sport of volleyball as well as its coaches. Rick Butler is known to have produced training material exclusively for volleyball coaches to help better their students’ footwork, and has taught some of the most popular techniques found on training videos today. Alongside coaching and expanding trainee performance, Rick Butler is a member of the St. Jude’s Hospital for Children and the Wounded Warrior Program. He is an advocate for wounded veterans in need of aid, and is dedicated to community volunteerism.
