As owner and Chief Executive Officer of Vlasich Associates in Fort Worth, Texas, Richard Vlasich oversees the firm’s property and equity investment holdings. His duties in this position include overseeing the management and maintenance of real estate holdings and ensuring that all tax and utilities payments are current. Richard Vlasich also provides an extensive range of packaging design and consultation services through the firm. Prior to launching his career in packaging design, Richard Vlasich attended the University of Cincinnati, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design. He then enrolled in Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, earning a Master of Fine Arts in Three Dimensional Art. After graduating from Texas Christian University, Mr. Vlasich accepted a position with Alcon Laboratories as Senior Packaging Engineer. While working for Alcon, he redesigned numerous branded products and developed gel delivery devices. His innovative designs of drug delivery devices resulted in three United States patents. Richard Vlasich launched Vlasich Associates in 1986, taking on an additional role as Manager of Corporate Packaging and Labeling with J.C. Penney Company, Inc., from 1988 to 1991. In this capacity, he led a team of packaging engineers and administrative support personnel in fulfilling assignments for multiple corporate divisions. Mr. Vlasich also helped introduce and implement environmental packaging at J.C. Penney, saving the company more than $100,000 annually through materials reductions. Mr. Vlasich supports a number of philanthropic organizations, including the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the American Cancer Society, and the Union Gospel Mission. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, landscaping, and playing golf.
