About Richard Skala

A National Board of Chiropractic Examiners Diplomate chiropractor since 1976, Richard Skala received his DC from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa before opening his private practice in Fremont, California. His post graduate work has included certification in spinal column stressology and neuro electrodiagnostic technology, and Dr. Richard Skala was a frontrunner in his use of extracorporeal shockwave treatments for patients with conditions that respond well to this type of therapy.

In the past few years, Dr. Skala has focused his practice on industrial medical legal work and expert witness testimony. Appointed by the state of California as a qualified medical examiner (QME), Dr. Richard Skala evaluates individuals with work related injuries. Also, he is available as a California agreed medical examiner (AME), and he has worked on hundreds of depositions and over a thousand medical legal reports. He has offices throughout California and provides services in numerous cities in the state.

Involved in many professional organizations Dr. Skala currently serves on the board of the California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery and he is also a board member at The Growing Place, a nonprofit professional mental health organization located in Chico, California.
