While Dr. Richard Reut enjoys leisurely activities such as golfing and fishing, he also takes pleasure in high-energy hobbies like snowboarding, wakeboarding, and exercising. However, second to spending quality time with his family, his greatest passion encompasses the practice, teaching, and continual learning of general orthopedics. For the past 25 years, Dr. Richard Reut has dedicated his life to medicine, specializing in nonsurgical treatments for a full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions. Employed as a Staff Physician at Twin Cities Orthopedics in the St. Paul region of Minnesota, he treats patients who suffer from fractures and other sports-related injuries. As an avid supporter of continuing education, Dr. Richard Reut also works at the University of Minnesota Medical School as a Clinical Instructor for graduate students in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Over the course of his medical career as a licensed orthopedic specialist, Dr. Richard Reut has embarked on a vast and comprehensive assortment of occupational endeavors. After graduating from Albion College in 1981 with a dual degree in Biology and Chemistry as well as a minor in Physics, he spent one year at the Health Fitness Corporation of America, located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, as a Personal Fitness Instructor. Journeying to Illinois, Dr. Reut then attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 1986 with a Doctor of Osteopathy. Following a series of prominent internships, Dr. Richard Reut held many prestigious titles such as Staff Physician and Director of Primary Care Orthopedics at Midwest Orthopedics (now Midwest Orthopedics at Rush) from 1994 to 1996. He has also worked on staff at Abbott-Northwest Hospital, the University of Minnesota’s Fairview Medical Center, Hennepin Faculty Associates, and the Hennepin County Medical Center, where he additionally served as Clinical/Faculty Instructor. Furthermore, Dr. Richard Reut has been part of the National Advisory Board of Caremark Orthopedic Services.
