LICENSED CIVIL ENGINEER * PROJECT MANAGER * PUBLIC/PRIVATE PROJECTS

- - - - - - - - - - - - - ~**~ - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Engineering professional with extensive involvement surrounding public and private construction/building/process system projects, starting with initial planning and groundbreaking, progressing through to the alignment of contractors, architects, and other on-site personnel. Projects have involved wastewater treatment facilities, water reclamation operations, and new system (water/sewer, pump stations, storm drains, control system, electrical, and instrumental systems) integrations.

Plan, design, and manage the phases of civil engineering projects, overseeing complete project/construction scheduling, progression, and overall milestones. Start with the site layout, directing soil testing, grading, and erosion design during the start of the project and progressing to the bid package and contract selection process. Work extensively with on-site construction teams and tradesmen, ensuring new construction, rehab, and system integrations are properly permitted, installed, functional, and tested. Adhere to local, state, and federal building codes and environmental regulations, networking with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) when necessary. Secure project permits, dealing with easements and code compliance issues accordingly. Consult with on- and off-site engineers; environmental, process, equipment/maintenance, mechanical, control system, and electrical. Comply with bonding, insurance, permit, and other licensing requirements.

* Hyperion Wastewater Treatment Plant (HWTP) - Assisted with air compressor installation and temporary office installation. Directed and oversaw municipal infrastructure projects starting with design, site planning, and project management, while also handling the installation of electrical, water/sewer, and instrumental systems.

* HWTP Dewatering Centrifuge Expansion Phase II ($22M project) - Led field construction and project management tasks, including payments, change orders, requests for information (RFIs), plan clarifications, schedule, letters to contractor, coordination with HWTP personnel and other engineering professionals.

* HWTP $5M Project: Odor Control Scrubber System - Trained on operations and maintenance, coordinating day-to-day functions with new system installation and on-site manpower/contract teams. Prepared operator station orders and advised on the proper collection of data.

* HWTP Hyperion Full Secondary Expansion (Phase I, $1.1 Billion project) - Reviewed plans and specs prepared by consultants for civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, architectural, and process equipment. Prepared bid packages, secured permits and scheduled inspections from local and government regulatory agencies.

* Glendale Water Reclamation Plant/Bar Screen Modification Project - Performed field investigations for this $2M project. Prepared plans and specifications. Arranged and compiled bid packages, complete with project drawings, specs, and other project changes required bidding companies. Oversaw material purchase orders, change orders, cost items, and contracts.
