During his 28-year career in biopharmaceuticals, Richard Micali served with various divisions of Bristol-Myers Squibb. Richard Micali began his career as a Medical Sales Representative and eventually climbed to Vice President positions at the company. Richard Micali’s experience encompasses a variety of therapeutic areas, including oncology, hematology, endocrinology/diabetes, dermatology, cardiology, neuroscience, and infectious disease. Richard Micali first joined the sales department of Mead Johnson Pharmaceuticals, part of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. Quickly gaining the attention of the company, Richard Micali managed an underperforming territory to significantly higher sales performance levels. Richard Micali’s early successes provided him with opportunities to move within the company; he soon joined the Sales Training department and ran workshops on product knowledge and selling skills. Apart from his efforts in the industry, Richard Micali sat on the board of trustees for Mercer Street Friends, a nonprofit community organization. Micali was also on the advisory board for consumer-driven health care firm, bWell International. In addition, he sponsors two children through ChildFund. He started his career as a special education teacher after graduating from Bowling Green State University in Ohio with his Bachelor of Science in Education and a focus on special education and business education. To enhance his business management skills, he earned a MBA in Management from John Carroll University.
