Brooks Systems is a developer and vendor of software for the residential mortgage industry.

Responsible for business development, marketing and sales for fifteen states.   

* To establish brand name in previously underdeveloped Western region, prepared and executed marketing plan emphasizing product awareness.Result: increased contact base by 300 percent and customer base by 200 percent.

* To diversify revenue sources in decelerating residential mortgage market, developed plan to create consumer website using existing software.Result: Website development in progress.

Co-founded this company specializing in insurance brokerage and consulting to the communications satellite industry.  Responsible for financial management, design and placement of spacecraft insurance, policy wording development, claim settlement, consulting and investing in related companies.

* To establish a presence in the spacecraft insurance industry, partnered with industry veteran and

prepared a comprehensive business plan.Personally made presentations to funding sources.

Result:raised sufficient initial capital within three months; company achieved profitability within

  two years.

* To improve client’s negotiating position with underwriters and generate commission revenue,

conceived, developed and implemented a placement strategy keyed to joint participation with

vendor.Result: saved client $6 million in premium expense and increased our company’s commissions by $1.5 million.

* To enable client to avoid additional cost to plug coverage gaps resulting from multi-vendor placement, created multi-tiered policy structure within standard policy framework.Result: gaps filled, saving client $3-5 million; all satellites launched on schedule with full coverage.

* When client faced concern about coverage for spacecraft similar to recently failed satellite, assisted client in negotiating manufacturer’s agreement to fund premium for unique additional coverage.Negotiated underwriter commitment to provide this coverage at target rate.Result: client spacecraft launched on schedule at no additional cost; after satellite failure, coverage provided additional $125,000,000 and client kept whole.
