About Richard DeGorter

A development and management professional with over three decades of experience in his fields, in 1992 Richard DeGorter founded Development Partners, Inc., a real estate development firm headquartered in Great Falls, Virginia. In his role as president, he has overseen both residential and industrial projects in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Alabama. In addition, he co-founded the Linked Economic Development and Affordable Housing Foundation (LEDAHF), Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to relieving the burdens of government by advancing economic development and solutions in sustainable, affordable housing. Richard DeGorter co-founded LEDAHF in 1994 and serves as its Executive Director. 

A graduate of Hobart College, Richard DeGorter completed graduate work at the Lyndon Baines Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. He enjoys mentoring young professionals, and has been a guest speaker at Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School in Washington, DC, and Catholic University where he gave lectures to students pursuing graduate degrees in architecture, real estate and infrastructure.
