Select Contract Highlights:

Northern Oklahoma Residential Soil Remediation Project, Blackwell, Oklahoma - Value: $10 million

Prepared cost estimate and proposal package for this Fortune 500 mining company contract for the remediation of over 600 residential properties impacted with lead, arsenic, and cadmium. Upon being selected as a short list candidate for the project, led sales presentation for the client project executives. Managed the recruiting and training of local field personnel, resulting in 32% labor cost savings.

Hayden Metals Site, Hayden, Arizona - Value: $8 million

Negotiated a sole source contract for the remediation and restoration of lead and arsenic impacted residential parcels and properties surrounding this active copper smelter. Work included sampling and excavation of impacted soils from 150 residential parcels and transportation of removal soils to the client designated area, backfilling and restoring affected areas, and cleaning of all horizontal surfaces on property interiors as part of an Emergency Removal Action.

Residential and Marsh Sediment Remediation and Restoration, Port Royal, South Carolina - Value: $5 million

Directed this Fortune 100 petroleum company's first ever residential remediation project. During strategic project planning, negotiated with United States EPA and South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control to allow for on-site chemical stabilization of hazardous materials resulting in cost savings of over $1 million for the client. Trained all field staff, both in-house and subcontracted, in client's stringent Health and Safety program and completed the project with zero lost time incidents.

Chino Mine Residential Interim Removal Action, Hurley, New Mexico - Value: $10 million

Prepared cost estimate and proposal package for this residential remediation and restoration project which consisted of 520 residential properties impacted with elevated copper. Directed all aspects of the project, which consisted of a team of over 20 field associates.

St. Louis Smelting & Refining, Collinsville, Illinois - Value: $7 million

Project Director at this residential remediation project. Scope of work included remediation and restoration of 160 lead-impacted residential properties, excavation of 86,000 tons of impacted soils, on-site stabilization of 57,000 tons of removal soils that failed TCLP analysis, confirmation sampling, installation of a visible barrier if maximum depth is reached and soils still exceed performance standards, transportation for off-site disposal, real-time particulate air sampling, and low-volume total lead air sampling.  

Former Manufactured Gas Plant, Oak Park, Illinois - Value: $23 million

Coordinated the execution of this cost-reimbursable contract for the remedial activities at this former manufactured gas plant, including overall management of numerous union service providers, bringing the total staff on-site to well over 50 people. Maintained constant communication with involved stakeholders from multiple local utility companies and municipal entities utilizing various project scheduling and reporting mechanisms. At contract completion, was awarded bonuses for cost, schedule, and safety performance.

NL Industries/Taracorp Superfund Site, Granite City, Illinois - Value: $13 million

Upon award of this contract, promptly redesigned United States Army Corps of Engineers plans and specifications for the on-site landfill and negotiated new design plans with United States EPA, resulting in over $120,000 in cost savings for the client. Managed all aspects of project activities, including over 40 field personnel during soil and air sampling, excavation, backfill, and restoration of over 800 residential lots. Coordinated public relations with all property owners before, during, and after remedial activities.
